Georgina Houghton
Srta. Georgina Houghton, médium inglesa de sesiones privadas
de los años setenta (1870), autora de los libros Evenings at Home in Spiritual
Seance, 1882, y Chronicles of the Photographs of Spiritual Beings and Phenomena
invisible to the Material Eye, 1882. Ella nunca hizo sesiones para la
investigación, no se sabe nada sobre las condiciones de prueba y su
mediumnidad, que desarrolló después de visitar a la Sra. Marshall, parece que
consistía en realizar dibujos automáticos, y otros aspectos del automatismo,
como una casa encantada controlada por un guía espiritual, fenómenos telecinéticos

HOUGHTON, Miss GEORGINA,
English private medium of the seventies, author of Evenings at Home in
Spiritual Seance, 1882, and of Chronicles of the Photographs of
Spiritual Beings and Phenomena invisible to the Material Eye, 1882. She
never sat for research, knew nothing of test conditions and her mediumship,
which developed after a visit to Mrs. Marshall, appears to have consisted of
automatic drawing, other acts of automatism, as house haunting under spirit
guidance, minor telekinetic phenomena, unconfirmed cases of levitation or
rather floating above the ground while apparently walking like anyone else,
apports and vision of coloured auras about the head of others. She claimed a
band of seventy archangels as her guardian spirits and implicitly believed and
obeyed every subconscious impulse, even to the extent of leaving it to the
spirit to choose the wallpapers and carpets in her house. She died in 1887.
